Hardware Engineering positions:



VLSI Architect

Responsibilities:
• Develop VLSI architectures of complex SOC in mobile multi-media domain
• Define architectures of future digital camera SoC solutions which would allow for efficient system integration and will match performance requirements.
• Develop adequate engineering documentation and matching simulation models to prove architecture performance.
• Provide technical guidance during development of new cores and sub-systems of the chip to the implementation team.
• Define major technical parameters of the SoC.
Education and Experience:
• BSEE or higher
• At least 2-4 years of experience in developing complex VLSI architectures
• Relevant experience in C/ C++ and Matlab programming
• Experience in video and Image processing algorithms/ architectures – an advantage
• Matlab knowledge –an advantage
• Ability to work independently





Algorithms & Architecture Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Development of high quality algorithms for the Digital Camera Market
• Definition of HW architecture of Image Processing units
• Definition of an algorithmic system using HW and SW
• Fields of work:
o State of the art Image Processing (e.g. Blur Correction, Dynamic Range Compression, Face Detection and Recognition, Audio Signal Processing)
o HW Definition for VLSI (Architecture, definition, solving the algorithmic question)
o System Flow definition (architecture of a complete solution – HW and SW, memory considerations, CPU and Bandwidth)

Education and Experience:
• M.SC EE or higher (or excellent B.Sc.)
• Experience in C and C++
• Knowledge in Matlab
• Self sufficient, with good learning abilities
• Experience in Architecture and knowledge in Logic Design – an advantage
• Hands-on SW experience - an advantage





Senior Verification Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Define, develop and maintain verification architectures and infrastructure for complex multimedia system-on-chip

Education and Experience:
• B.Sc in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering
• At least 4 years experience in Hardware verification, including knowledge of Verilog and HW simulators
• Proven experience in automated verification tools (Specman)
• Hands-on experience in verification tools and methodologies
• Understanding of Hardware-Software integration
• Experience in Software development using C/C++ – an advantage





Packaging Expert

Responsibilities:
• Design electronic packages for new projects – Supervise package layout / enforce existing layout rules / solve real-time design trade-offs.
• Research new approaches in package / analog silicon design
• Follow latest advances in package design in order to maintain competitive edge.
• Develop validation techniques for package/analog silicon design validation.

Education and Experience:
• BSEE
• 5+ years of experience in RF or mixed signal board/chip design
• Knowledge /experience in package design – advantage
• Verilog knowledge and VLSI perspective – an advantage
• Availability to travel abroad
• Very independent
• Broad system overview





Signal Integrity Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Be part of signal integrity experts team
• Simulate high speed systems
• Analyze electrical and timing issues
• Suggest and approve solutions for manufacturing
• Specify design changes and features

Requirements:
• Analog and digital design engineer
• Have good understanding of PCB design
• Have lab work experience
• Good understanding of system integrity
• Have at least 3 years of analog and digital design experience
• BSEE or higher




Circuit Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Design and integration of Analog Blocks in Zoran’s mixed digital analog chips.
• Design of DAC and ADC
• Circuit tasks at a Full-Chip level including issues such as IO design, ESD and latch-up.
• Integration of new technologies – 40nm and beyond.

Education and Experience:
• BSEE
• 2-4 years of experience in circuit work (top graduates are also ok)
• At least basic level of knowledge in DAC – mandatory
• Basic level of knowledge in circuit designs such as: PLL/ADC/IO/MEMORIES – an advantage
• Experience in high speed design and system level simulation – an advantage
• System knowledge and past experience in validating analog IP’s – an advantage





Physical Design & CAD Team Leader

Responsibilities:
• You will be joining a group implementing the most advanced devices for the Digital TV, Multimedia, Digital Camera and Imaging markets.
• We are looking for top-notch manager for a VLSI group, that works with the most advanced deep sub-micron technologies, and pushes the VLSI design to its limits.
• As part of your work, you will be involved in research and development of new technologies.
• You will lead the Physical Design of complex SoC devices using state of the art tools and cutting edge technologies

Education and Experience:
• BSC or MSC in EE or CS
• At least 5 years of experience in Physical Design
• At least 2 year of experience as a Physical Design team leader
• Understanding of VLSI Flow from Specification to Silicon – mandatory
• Knowledge of Synthesis, Place& Route and Static Timing Analysis tools – mandatory

CAD Engineer

Responsibilities:
• You will be joining a group that develops CAD tools, environments and flows for the most advanced devices for the Digital TV, Multimedia, Digital Camera and Imaging products
• You will be working with the most advanced EDA tools, write useful utilities (PERL/TCL/SHELL scripting) and CAD tools (PERL/TCL/C/C++/Java)
• You will take part in research and development of new technologies and methodologies

Education and Experience:
• BSC or MSC in EE or CS
• Understanding of VLSI Flow from Specification to Silicon – mandatory
• Knowledge of some EDA tools, such as Synthesis, timing analysis, verification, P&R tools, etc. – an advantage
• Experience in logic design - an advantage
• Experience in CAD/SW - an advantage
• Understanding Low Power design and Low Power optimization methods - an advantage




Software Engineering Positions:



Real Time/Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities:
• To become part of the SW development group in one of Zoran’s product line.

Education and Experience:

• BA or BSC in CS / EE
• At least 2 years of experience in Real-time, embedded systems programming using C and Assembly language.
• Acquaintance with embedded environment such as experience in Micro-Controller development - an advantage.
• Understanding of hardware-software integration and debugging methodology.





Embedded Linux Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Maintain and upgrade Linux kernel include multi threaded CPU
• Develop standard Linux infrastructure over Zoran chips (block device, removable devices and so on)
• Design and implement streaming (audio video) devices
• Integrate graphics frameworks such as DirectDB and QT
• Support connectivity application for streaming audio and video from the web

Education and Experience:
• BSC in CS / EE
• At least 2 years of experience in embedded Linux programming – must
• Kernel and user space using C and Assembly language
• Knowledge of SW development that involves good understanding of
hardware-software integration and debugging methodology
• Experience with kernel.org and Linux build environment





Validation Team Leader

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and lead the activity of digital validation for COACH chips product line (systematic validation of the chip’s HW so that they can be safely mass-produced)
• Coordinate the validation activity which is done across FW teams (learn chip capabilities, define testing capacity, monitor progress and coverage, maintain reporting system)
• Actively contribute to the validation efforts of some blocks in the chip.
• Manage a small team (currently one engineer with possible additions in the future)
• Take responsibility over areas like production engineering support and RMA analysis
• Develop tools and build methodologies in order to make the validation effort as automated as possible.

Education and Experience:
• BSC or higher in EE or CS
• Knowledge in C language
• Knowledge of SW development with good understanding of hardware-software integration – required
• Hardware verification, including knowledge of Verilog, HW simulators, etc. - an advantage
• Good communication and team working skills are required.




Communication & DSP Engineer

Responsibilities:
• To take a part in the development of digital TV receivers
Education and Experience:
• BSEE with focus on communication and signal processing.
• At least 3 years of experience in signal processing, digital communication techniques
• Experience with DSP real-time programming
• Experience in Matlab





SWQA Engineer (temp position up to 1 year)

• Knowledge in programming
